Hispanic Arts Scotland launches its Hispanic Festival 2009 Programme.

8th – 23rd October 09 – various venues around Edinburgh.

"Presenting a creative cultural connection through shared inspiration".

Now in its 5th year, The Hispanic Festival Scotland, stages its most ambitious programme to date.

Artists this year include; The UK premier of award winning, Leonor Leal and her Flamenco Dance Company at the Queen’s Hall, a series of Latin and Spanish dance workshops at Dance Base and a Cuban live music club at the Caves.

This year's programme aims to expand the inclusion and understanding of Hispanic communities through dance and music and to inspire the creative potential between our cultures.

"The Edinburgh Hispanic Festival is an exciting opportunity to celebrate and experience the unique fusion of Hispanic and Scottish Culture right here on your doorstep".

With classical as well as grass roots artists from Spain, Venezuela, Cuba and other Latino origins, and by adding educational elements to the program, The Hispanic Festival continuous its dedication to work within Hispanic and Latin arts by showcasing high calibre acts from all Hispanic cultures here in Scotland.

The Festival launches with an eclectic host of Scots/Latin musicians at the Jazz Bar in support of the festival.
